I can't even remember how the vocal line goes because it sounded like the dude himself didn't really have a solid idea and just kinda let his voice do whatever. I listened to this song five times in a row trying to get it to grow on me, and for the first time I really feel like I've just aged out of the current music scene, at least as far as hip hop goes.

It kind of reminds me of like an early 2000’s R&B singer (think Marques Houston, Omarion, young Chris Brown, etc.) mixed with the modern emo trap (a la Lil Uzi Vert, Juice WRLD, 24kGoldn). The predictable-yet-pronounced flow mixed with the way flexes his vocals a little bit on every last word is definitely something that will stick in your head.
